La Seine Musicale

Open to the public since 2017, La Seine Musicale is a broad-scale complex built on Île Séguin (in Boulogne-Billancourt) that is dedicated to all forms of music. Designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, its building echoes the shape of a ship and contains several concert venues, recording studios, and exhibition spaces, covering a total surface area of over 36,000 m2.

Avant post created a global graphic charter in 2017 for the activities of La Seine Musicale, after a slight facelift of the existing logotype. Among other things, we have set up a template for the creation of posters, concert programs and other communication tools for the promotion of the various shows taking place throughout the year. The main objective is to develop visual codes able to perfectly fit with extremely varied contents - types of representations, musical styles, etc.

As a reminder of the unique location of the building which is surrounded by the Seine, the posters are made up of a colorful wave that covers the bottom of the composition. The photography overlays on it with a transparency effect evoking again the connection to the water.
